The http://Amazon.co.uk UI says I don't have 2FA enabled, but on login, when they say they sent me an email containing a one time code, it doesn't arrive, but I can use time-based OTP from my AWS account.

Yup, makes sense

This screen says:

"From now on, sometimes when you sign in, we'll tell you your password is wrong, even though it isn't. That's your problem"

also, OTP won't be "sent" to anything. It will be generated on demand, so there's no prompt involved.

Ok, here's the best part: I set up 2FA using TOTP - confirmed the codes and everything.

The login still uses my AWS TOTP codes, which are different.
