Today I do be thinking about monotropa uniflora @plants I was so chuffed to have found this plant because it was the first plant I set out to find on a hike relying on info from my botanical key. This plant is white and has no chlorophyll, and is considered a "mycoheterotroph". This means its host is a fungi that is mycorrhizal with trees: their energy source is the tree itself!
