muesliI used to love building and flying quadcopters, but today marks the day I'm officially done with this hobby. I can't justify dealing with the police for days every time I go flying for 20 minutes 😒

Nope, perfectly legal. I even have/had an insurance. I do get the feeling it's a thorn in their eyes, though, so they probably decided it's time to start harassing people a bit.

subi@fribbledom I used to build and fly models. Areas to fly got squeezed out of existence resulting in similar experiences. Didnt touch quads really that much. I imagine in some areas people are hyper obnox.
I bet like a few other hobbies it will get squeezed or licensed to hell, can only fly in certain walled gardens etc.
