And is there any way to get that history imported?

We're using OMEMO if that's important.

@IceWolf No, because OMEMO has Perfect Forward Secrecy. Messages can not be decrypted afterwards, for instance by an attacker or a new device.

Do you have enabled MAM on your server?
Or do you see the encryption error?

@silkevicious Yeah, I think the server has MAM. We've been using OMEMO the whole time; no error though (ChatSecure).

They should have a way to transfer keys. I don't want to be tied to one device until the end of time.
