absolutely incised that yogurt in a pouch is only sold 'for kids' in the States
i swear i'm a grown-up gimme a better deal than 4oz for $1.25 dangit
spent a bit of time last night playing Factorio and really getting to know the spidertron
it is *utterly game changing* holy crap i can't believe they actually added it. in particular the remote control is just the bee's knees -- you can go to the map, click somewhere, and the bitch will just go there! no getting ran over by trains, no getting stuck on pipes! this makes getting around my base easier by orders of magnitude. you can set it to shoot rockets at stuff .. automatically! damn good!!
god it's just
so big
"laser turret cannot be used as ammo"
awww c'mon :(
i had a nice shower-think about how to best abuse the equipment grids. since i'm post-late-endgame my laser bonuses are stupid good, so, i can load up my Power Armor with Personal Laser Defense, and the Spidertron can have legs and a single roboport so it will always repair itself (i love how they leave emergent shit like this in)
1 PLD is ~ 3 regular laser turrets, idk how many will fit but "lots"
@hax i REFUSE to believe that! also remember you can literally copy n paste your base nowadays to move stuff around and get things out of the way!
EMBRACE THE SPAGHETTI.
@hax yep. they give the throughput needed for post-late-endgame shenanigans. most of my production outposts use belts (red/blue circuit production lines are entirely belt fed, then hauled by train back to the OmniUnloader.
unfortunately belts are laggier than bots, so any megabase is eventually forced to go bots. using them for mining outposts saved me TONS of lag (and makes expanding take minutes instead of hours)
