On Twitter they are doing #GameDevPaidMe. Here is my running spreadsheet of what I was paid at every salaried job I've had (3 game dev, 3 tech). There are notes for each job. I set this up a few years ago for the #talkpay hashtag and try to keep it up to date.

@darius That's so much money (to me) - I did two QA jobs with MSoft and only got $23,000 in 2013/2014
@dualhammers yeah, I mean that is commensurate with my QA experience. It sucks!

I knew lots of coworkers who had this feeling that they had to jump on every opportunity for overtime no matter how stressful because there were only so many spots "up" to better paying positions. Totally dismantled any desire I had to work in the game industry in big (above 10 people) studios
