someone talks about trans rights and about trans women being women, pretty uncontroversially facts that have a firm scientific basis. they also state the "no investigation! no right to speak!" doctrine from Mao.
You respond with: "So by the same rules, trans people don't get to tell anyone else how they should be"
This is a non-sequitur. No trans person in this thread was telling anyone what to think, they were stating the FACT that trans women are women, the same as cis women, which is backed up by 90 years of hard science (Dating back to the hirschfeld institute, and thousands of years of human culture), and stating that people (in general) should not speak on a subject if they haven't done investigation into it.
They call you a TERF, because TERFs, in general make those kinds of non-sequiturs, they also say something about bathroom laws and trans people literally being assaulted for trying to pee, you say "is peeing in a bathroom all it is? then we'll get along fine", this is clearly phrased to imply that there is More going on, that you Do Not Approve of.
You are the one twisting other people's words into problems here that you then use to attack them, it's a fascinating psychological study, and I've only ever seen bigots doing it. Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc.
