@pupy the only advice i have wrt that is do a bit of practise when you next have the motivation, grab a sample pack, restrict yourself to only samples from that pack and see if you can make anything
@Violet i need to find a nice sample pack of like. classic cliche sounds used in tracked songs
@pupy should do what I did in the early days, find a tracker module you like, rip all the samples out of it and make your own song with them
@Violet that takes maybe more effort than i have but yeah not a bad idea
@Violet awww but then if i make a cool tune from that then i cant really share it cos all the bits are stolen from other places

@pupy sweetie i'm pretty sure a huge chunk of amiga module samples are either taken from existing modules or vinyl collections

Otherforest (né/e Xenon Fiber System)@xenon @Violet yet those folks were like immediately accommodating to me, i went to nova last year w/ vivi with like the barest knowledge of demo shit and only the vaguest interest in getting stuck into it. ended up talkin w/ psonice for some kinda intro-y bits which didnt really go thru but he did take me round and introduce me to the folks that were there lmao
@Violet not gonna lie the lockdown has proper naffed me off entirely because its stopping me from getting adhd diagnosis
@pupy yeah my mental health has been absolute shite during lockdown, i miss you a lot
i've been trying to find things to do and people to do things with to keep myself distracted though

@pupy i'd suggest something like jackbox or whatever but jackbox just drains me and i zone out to other things whenever i've played it lately

if you're looking for an Amiga based one I've heard a lot of good things about OctaMED. can probably be emulated

@Violet i think tbh i planned on doing amiga tracker anyway simply bc i love the way samples sound when you run it thru them
