So, I don't understand. Dad told me that HD TV over the air (I think it is digital, I don't know) and ol' coaxial cable TV (analog) use the same type of connector and therefore cross compatible, but then I go to MercadoLibre (bad but kinda necessary these days) and I see most products mentioning only one of either analog or digital, never both.

Is there any difference between digital TV over the air and ol' analog coaxial cable despite using the same connectors?

Oh, also some listings mention it being digital by saying it's a TDA tuner (Televisión Digital Abierta).

So far I've been only able to find two listings that mention analog coaxial TV. Neither has a LinuxTV.org wiki page (the VL4-DVB one, I haven't looked into the VDR one yet).

The listings are https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-837054689-sintonizadora-de-tv-usb-mygica-u720-_JM and https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-837933427-sintonizadora-capturador-tv-usb-sabrent-con-control-remoto-_JM (Warning: It probably contains tracking being ML a business. I'm not sure but I've removed the last part of the links, along with the tracking id)

Oh there's another one!

For some reason the listing uses the wrong box print (In the box it says Digital while in the description it says analog)

Mmmm...
