Amir Khusro chose poetry and music to please Nizamuddin Auliya. The message of eternal love immortalised in the verses that are still sung with the same love that it originated from.
This is one of his most famous creations.

Amir Khusro enjoys an ever-lasting fame as one of the most versatile poets of the world.
He is traditionally considered to be the founder of 'qawwali' and lyrical poetry in Hindustani (Urdu), credited with enriching Hindustani classical music by introducing Persian and Arabic elements in it. The invention of the sitar and the musical styles known as khayal and tarana are also attributed to him.
