As the swearing in ceremony in Mumbai is about to start I have mixed feelings.
Am I be happy the BJP is out? Yes I am .
Am I happy Shiv Sena is forming the Govt. with Congress support?
No I am not.

I’m not sure either. SS and Congress ideologies are so different. And SS is BJP’s twin in most ways. Let us see how it goes.

@shinjini Well considering how Congress welcomed the Ayodhya verdict think they are more similar.

And with SS congress might actually be viewed more favorable by Hindus while not needing to shout about Hindutva.

Cong supported Ayodhya and Art 370 abrogation too, in a muted way. I suppose political necessities, because they continue to relentlessly fight for regularising both issues.

I am hopeful that they can turn this partnership into a stepping stone to re-entry the mainstream. But Yes, EVMs have to disappear immediately!!

@NSure I would like to believe that under Congress we would have seen a different Ayodhya verdict. But we’ll never know now, will we?

Exactly! In fact, it was Rajiv Gandhi who re-opened the Masjid/ Mandir and allowed Hindus to pray there. Despite it being recorded facts that, (a) Archaeological evidence DOES NOT show that there was a Temple under the Babri ruins. Even more damning,
(b) Some local babas had PLANTED statues of Ram and Laxman, way back in 1949. Thus turning the Mosque into a Temple, overnight!

You can Google it up, if you did not know!

@NSure Yes. I believe even the SC highlighted these things in its judgement
