I agree - without data we are left with anecdotes and what WhatsApp university or TV channels peddle.
I was talking to a friend about crackers causing air pollution post Diwali - he insisted, providing anecdotal references, that no one burst any crackers- but mysteriously the crop burning gunk came over at exactly the same time Diwali night. This is an ivy league educated person- sometimes people dont want to see data cuz it will shake their beliefs!
