The trial on 11 year old Khair Mohammad during the Non Cooperation movement in 1922
@ranasafvi One doesn't find such 11 yr olds, nowadays.
@Iwalkalone we don't encourage such 11 year olds today
@ranasafvi Absolutely true.
@ranasafvi And the interesting part about it is that the current lot of children, below 10, or above for that matter, are more assertive and vocal about their needs and rights compared to the previous 2-3 generations. We just need to nurture it.

@ranasafvi @Iwalkalone absolutely. Post independence, pretty much every generation of Indians was raised to 'respect the authorities'.

It takes people rejected by society at a young age to build this attitude in them now. And it's always an unhealthy way to begin with.

@Memeghnad @ranasafvi Certainly respect the authorities. But don't forget to question them, when the time comes.
@ranasafvi but we are more interested in the era of Babur...
@ranasafvi I wonder if the British treated him the same way India is treating the detained minors in Kashmir. Ironic we celebrate one as a hero and the other as a criminal.
@ranasafvi initial protests after income tax was introduced are remarkable.
@ranasafvi I wonder what happened of him later.. I wonder if there's any reference regarding Khair Mohammed anywhere else
