@Vishsai I use Tusky on Android, so I know it works in it. You upload a pic/gif, click the thumbnail of it and you get 'Set caption' option. The word limit is quite relaxed there. Try it. @manu @stux

@Vishsai I suppose it's just an add-on feature. You can add description in either places and the assistive tech should pick. But the caption is useful suppose you don't want to spend characters in your main content and the attachment isn't really the subject of your toot. Say a gif, which is an optional feature really. But it can be captioned to be enjoyed by all. I feel that's why even the emojis have a description when you copy them to text. @manu @stux

@bull500 there are very sophisticated assistive tech that many visually impaired persons use. I am not aware of the specifics. @Vishsai @manu @stux
