My Mother went into hospital 6 weeks after demonic demonetisation. She died in January 2017. We saw the suffering in hospital, as people scrambled for money. You stood in line for your own money or you nursed your Mother. We had to borrow cash for her funeral. No cremation ground in Dehradun is digitalised! (I add this because I was severely trolled on Twitter for mentioning this). I can never forgive nor forget Narendra Modi's assualt on India. 1/2
@ranjona that cruel man had a nice laugh with his colleagues that there’s a wedding in someone’s family but there’s no money. A true psychopath
@siri_resist That evil laugh is seared into my brain.
@ranjona @siri_resist That was the moment of truth which turned apolitical me into vocal anti-BJP stance! In case you have not read this before, my fav piece that exposed their lies...

Of demonetization. And magic. And Modi

@ranjona @siri_resist I identify with a similar experience as well, @anandrkris - moving from political disinterest to actively seeking to cultivate a more informed view post the Tughlaq-ian shenanigans of 8-11. What I still haven't come to grips with is the large numbers of supposedly educated folks choosing to remain willingly blind.
@Samyukth @ranjona @siri_resist @anandrkris That was expected. Many would be and will be blind. Religion, believe it or not is still a matter of blind faith in India. It's an upper caste refuge - from work, responsibility and accountability. So, it works for many to have those men in power.
