@ionhandshaker குடை என்றால் அரசனுக்குரிய அடையாளம். கன்னனும் அங்க நாட்டு அரசன்தான். அதனால் அப்படி எழுதி இருப்பாரோ ?

பாட்டில் எனக்கு "குடை" என்றுதான் கேட்கிறது.

குடை/குறை என்று மோனை நயமும் வருகிறது.

@ionhandshaker இன்னொன்றைச் சொல்ல வந்து மறந்து விட்டேன். "குடை கொண்ட மத யானை உயிர் கொண்டு நடந்தான்" கேட்டபோது, நாச்சியார் திருமொழி வரி/உவமை "காய்சினமா களிறு அன்னான்" நினைவு வந்தது.

@psankar Haha, yes. This would be yet another instance of Kannadasan using Vaaranamayiram. Quite a common simile too. Tyagaraja uses it in Samajavaragamana. This song also. "தேக்கு மரம் உடலைத் தந்தது, சின்ன யானை நடையைத் தந்தது". Some Sangam poem has it too, I am sure.
