Hello Academic Tooters (#AcaTooters), as promised, this is my first thread for desi academics (thought not limited to) who want to connect with each other in this new space, and create a virtual support system. @Paridhigupta hello! :) i'm upasana, currently in my final year of masters in development studies. i'm interested in science and tech studies, labour and information studies. i'm based out of chennai right now and i'm looking forward to applying for grad school in the next couple of years!

@Paridhigupta not yet. i'm working on my masters thesis right now and i'm hoping that gives me more insight into narrowing down my areas of interests.

i'd like these threads to be spaces where we can share readings, opportunities and create a support system for conferences, universities, writing or fieldwork.

@ub395 great! That is some of the stuff I will cover in the following weeks. Meanwhile I'm going to add people onto the list. Also if you feel any discomfort from anyone on the list, please let me know. And that goes for anyone who joins
