Lilat was waiting outside the shrine, for once she was dressed not in the white robes of a shrine keeper but, in spite of her lost magic, in the scarlet and silver of a trained combat mage. As they approached she smiled and Alidra sensed her father relax, then she looked past them to the curious gaggle of neighbours and tutted audibly.
"Away with you, geese," she said. "No one is in trouble and you all have more important things to attend to I'm sure."
