I was thinking about how drow and how their depictions have changed from being ... you know, full on dark black, to being shades of blue and purple.
And I thought, what if you took that to the extreme, and said they were born milk while, like cave fish and salamanders and stuff, and changed color to purples and blues based on their diet like flamingos.
What if you too *that* to its extreme and said drow that eat glowing mushrooms become glowing drow
Now, I'm a white person and I'm ... not at all sure if its... problematic to actually use this anywhere, but I figure drow aren't based on any real life culture, as far as I can tell, and also going "the race thats Black is also Evil" is uh.. not good (hence why it's been starting to change... also Not To Go on my rant of "Making a race and saying they're all Evil is Bad rant")
Also I think it would match up well vs colorful 5e seasonal eladrin, too
ALSO.... you know how drow and eladrin dont have pupils??
Drow can see in infrared, Eladrin can see in ultraviolet.
