@FASA_Andrew_1879 The company I work for doesn't currently have any open reqs, but I know some should be coming down the line. Perhaps shoot me your resume or CV and I can submit it to HR before the next opening?
I've submitted descriptions for a DBA fluent with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and InfluxDB. I also put in a description for a combined system administrator and software engineer role as well.
Again, no guarantees, but just thought I'd pass this along.
@FASA_Andrew_1879 FWIW, my top two recommendations as far as sites to check (of course, some or all may well be familiar already):
- angel.co - AngelList is all employers-only, no recruiters, so you don't have that level of faff involved. It's all about startups, so the positions tend to cluster in the usual venues - NYC, Boston, the Bay Area, Seattle, London, Berlin, etc - but there are plenty elsewhere too.
- Hacker News' "Who is hiring?" threads, posted on the first weekday of each month. Again, all employers, often posted by the hiring managers themselves. July's is here:

LinkedIn and the like are worth a check-in, but as they're so well known, positions there tend to receive huge numbers of applications, and seem much more prone to "evergreen" postings that never seem to actually get filled.
For the Bay specifically, Craigslist is still worthwhile - elsewhere, the offerings can be much more sparse.
@FASA_Andrew_1879 If anything here looks interesting pls ping me. I'm one dept over from IT in analytics, happy to answer questions.

My employer, "Cirium, Inc" is hiring software engineer and I think sysadmins ("Site Reliability Engineer") in Alpharetta, GA and Portland, OR. I was hired back when they allowed remote work, but I don't think that's an option any more. :(
I'm putting it in the ears of those I believe are looking for such.
Thank you for whatever you did at FASA back in the day; I can't tell you how much Shadowrun changed my life, and -- I mean, I know, everybody there was doing some part of the work. Even if you weren't writing it, you were supporting it.
Thank you. ❤️ I hope one of these myopic and shortsighted orgs pulls their head out of their ass.
