I'd recommend making a post with the #introductions tag to explain to the Fediverse who you are; include some hashtags for folks who follow those tags to find you.

Home=folks you follow, Local=folks in the Shop, Federated=everyone the Shop federates with; don't be afraid to introduce yourself to others!

CWs hide content behind the warning so folks get to choose if they see it. Direct talk about politics and traumatic events are common things to CW, but so are spoilers.

@CarlosC On CWs, I commonly see (and use) a shorthand: + for positive things, ~ for mixed feelings, and - for negative things. So "Food +" might be about food I liked and "Food -" might be about food I disliked.

#GetOnOurLawn and #tootorial has a bunch of useful advice from veteran Mastodon folks as well, like the different timelines/privacy settings and common CWs!
