I think the reason I found Voyager so disappointing was the fact that they promised how the series would be so different and interesting and full of conflict and stuff. And then it just... wasn't. I mean, I actually quite liked a lot of Voyager but it's totally not what they promised us it would be.

But then again, the whole everyone-is-better-off-when-we-work-together ethos is very much what Star Trek has always been about.

Either way. Wasted potential.

@InvaderXan @[email protected] one way they could've further explored the idea of 'what if Voyager had been trying to do /all/ that it takes to get back home', more than just the Equinox episodes, without sacrificing the Roddenberry principles, would've been to have 1 or 2 seasons set in a #MirrorUniverse or rather just an alternate universe, where we'd see them slowly abandon the Starfleet ethics. I'd follow a season of the adventures of the #USSEquinox.
