hey - question to all the hardware techies in here

could a bad case possibly cause ram to stop working?

because i've noticed that when i get around half my ram usage windows kills off some firefox processes because of memory i think
this didn't use to happen until recently

so like. i'm curious -- what could be causing this? is the ram going bad? is the motherboard just garbage? or is the case making my ram die?

(also i recently got a bsod with the code MEMORY_MANAGEMENT if that helps)

@sc RAM might be going bad. Run Memtest86 when you get a chance.
@sc no, the only thing the case could realistically do is electrical issues with the power switch, LEDs, front panel io, etc. -- it sounds like your RAM is just going bad or your swapfile is misconfigured in Windows
@sc consider extracting memtest86 free into a flash drive and running it overnight https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm

@sc probably the ram. almost certainly nothing to do with the case. run memtest86+ on it for a bit and see if it gets errors.
@sc go to bios undervolt your ram by like .1 should be good
@dog i can't tell if you're being serious or not

@sc

memtest86

For at least 24 hours if possible

Could be low voltage or high temp issue esp if you are overclocking.

Test 1 stick at a time and see if it is one or two bad (bad memory) or all of them (bad settings/windows software issues).

Also could be motherboard (not likely) or gfx card (not unlikely)
