I just think it's wild when cis straight white male ex-Christian atheists talk over me, an openly gay Muslim, about religion's treatment of lgbtq people. Especially when they focus on Islamic issues which will literally never affect their western asses.

Like I spent my teens and 20s being anti-religion as a direct result of my treatment as a lesbian in religious spaces. I fucking know how religious communities treat lgbtq people way morevintimstelu than these assholes who stopped believing simply bc they discovered Sam Harris or some shit and had an "awakening" ever will so step the fuck back.

Anyway stop speaking over lgbtq religious people about lgbtq issues in our communities because there is a 10000% chance that we already fucking know what the problems are and also a 10000% chance that we're dealing with those issues every day and many of us are working towards a solution in-group. So the white cishet people who aren't dealing with any of these issues talking over us are actually not helping anyone. Sam Harris I'm looking straight at you here, you absolute fucking douchenozzle.
