You might have someone in your life who encourages you to "stick with" git, or that "it'll make sense eventually." This is called "gaslighting."

@mogwai_poet The latter is, because there's definitely no "ah-ha" moment. But learning git's mental model makes it pretty easy to work with, and the flexibility and ubiquity makes it generally worth it.

Unless you're working on your own, in which case branches and merges aren't nearly as useful.
