Are the colored branches on the left of comments here to show the responses tree?

It looks really cute ❤️
(Hophully in big threads it wont grow too wide :s)

@Zykino It is, yes. And in big trees, it just gets clipped, which isn't wonderful but is arguably better than crowding the text off the screen.

@tootapp
Nice 😄

Did you see what #Slide for Reddit is doing?
It indent (2px) each sub comments and have a color code to know how deep the comment is. More practical maybe but less beautiful than your trees.

I wonder if its feasible for the fediverse (comments are sorted by discussions not time).

Anyway I would love to have an equivalent on my Android app of choice: #mastalab
#mastalabsuggestion : showing who respond to who in comments.

@Zykino I've never found indentation to be very useful for following a discussion tree. It works fine while going into a branch, but once you read further, you completely lose track of what is replying to what. The point of the subway map lines is to make it easier to backtrack and finding parent posts.

@tootapp
At least it's better than no differentiations at all (I hate hollowing discussions in forums)

If I had an Apple device I would test your app just to try this and feel what works best for me. 😁
