What do you think about the out-game planning while playing #ttrpg or #pbp games, both as a player and dm?

I believe it isn't cheating and love to make plans dm's back while playing #pbp đŸ˜„ If I'm the dm, I let people to make plans in normally impossible to talk situations if it looks like it will bring more fun. And doesn't let the players in horror or atmospheric games.

@Mur A certain amount is fine, and to be encouraged, sometimes the player will leap to a conclusion that wasn't my plot but is actually way better so I roll with that instead. It should keep the metagaming to a minimum though. No harm in OOC jokes but it shouldn't adversely affect how someone plays their character.
@Mur i genuinely love seeing people do it, it's proof that they're invested in what's happening and a sign you're doing something right.
@Mur Thats the reason I'm calculating time faster than you think.  So when you think that 1 hour past, you see that actually 2 hour past in game time. :D
