Supposedly there’s a 60,000 square foot ‘vintage/thrift’ store in Philly called Material Culture? Anyone ever been?, would love to go, but I really can’t go to a place that big alone, I’d need a shopping buddy - I’ll even buy you lunch #freelunch #thrifting #shoppingfrenzy
@sauldraws if this is the thing up near Mannyunk, I think I’ve been there. Happy to make the trip!
@sauldraws I've been there. It's more an import/export warehouse than a thrift store. Lots of unique pieces of furniture and art, many from Asia, India & elsewhere. Definitely leave lots of time to snoop around the place. They also have a loft gallery that rotates interesting installations. https://materialculture.com/

@chip sounds like I could save myself the heavy lifting and just move in there
@sauldraws Kinda like having the general public browsing around your living room.
@sauldraws it’s not a thrift store, it’s all vintage or replica eastern-style furniture and rugs. it’s not packed and overwhelming like a thrift store. their prices are pretty good but not incredible.
