@Manuela, I guess my position goes like this: while the structural problem isn't new, we have a unique perspective today: it's easier to find people to talk about these things. It's also become harder to hide the problem from the public, and we can choose to partake in a vast landscape of communities that wasn't available a few decades ago, each with their own struggle to get at the problem.
