@JoshRollins I'm in Northern California. Most of the time we are running into swingers. Lol. In Sacramento it seems to be fairly conservative, but when I talk with my friends from the San Francisco bay area, they say everyone they meet is from Sacramento... lol
@Padme sounds like this happens everywhere. I'm in nyc and not running into poly interested people online. Guess I should overcome my disdait from social events and go to one or two ...
l21bddd@Padme I am in Northern CA as well, right in the middle of SF and Sacramento. Most of the people I meet are through meetups, as well as OK cupid and fetlife. Most end up being friends rather than partners, but that might be because I say my focus is becoming friends with people not dating.

Pockets@Padme If you are in a city, there are likely to be groups that organize social activities and mixers. Let me know if you are in the NYC area and I can send you info about the various groups around here. If not, try googling polyamory + your area. I'm always more comfortable starting relationships (friendships or otherwise) that way. Alternatively, OkCupid gives you the option to identify yourself as nonmonogamous and in a relationship but still looking. Tinder scares me :P but that's an option.

For me, it was Okcupid and furries.
Though, I deleted my Okcupid profile earlier this year because somehow I kept attracting D/s kinksters and the male Dom would send his fem sub to try to draw me into their thing, which is not my thing.
The furries are all over the place with gender, sexuality, lifestyles, etc but there seems to be a good proportion of poly furs. Also I'm a furry so it's my "home" subculture.
Jerrik@Padme Old school networking has worked for me! Friends of friends, and their friends too! I started collecting acquaintances at festivals like regional Burning mans (near me it's called http://soakpdx.com/) where there are quite a few poly people, or at least know poly people who I could meet. This is how I met one partner.
Another I met on OkCupid, so there's always that I guess. It seems much more difficult as women are inundated with scum and men are mostly ignored.
