So. Let's clear this up, since Bofa has been inexplicably silenced on .social and I'm on both.
Bofa does not harrass or use slurs against trans people. Many of our users/friends are trans. If you heard this nonsense secondhand, STOP spreading it. If you actually SEE one of bofa's users doing this please report it immediately to our mod @[email protected] bc I KNOW he's not down with that shit AT ALL and will take the appropriate action.

Personally, I don't reach the same conclusion that Star Trek Man is a transphobe. Another valid conclusion is that he's just genuinely dumb and doesn't possess animus; it could also be that.

Either way---there's plenty of other egregious shit emanating out of bofa that some of us on the fediverse are sick of it. That instance will stay on suspension for me.

@trayofbees @ItsJenNotGabby @[email protected] This is some pretty clear whataboutism, the question is what bofa has done in particular to warrant muting, to which your response is weighing whether or not ol' wheaton is a transphobe.

It doesn't really help to handwave about "egregious shit" unless you can point to it.
