It's an incredibly decadent purchase that I won't be able to make for quite a while, but.....

I want one of these............

Mostly because I need a solution for playing quick dpad-preferred games like Dead Cells

because hoo boy, for the company that literally created the dpad, both the left Joycon and the Switch Pro cintroller have -awful- dpads, haha

I get the Joycon's problem. It needed to be face buttons when turned sideways, for that neat gimmick that I'll absolutely never use

But the Pro's dpad being so poor is just not excusable for the cost of that controller

It just has this awful loose resistance to it. Legit half the time I tried to press right on it to switch weapons in BotW it would read as up and open the rune menu
@ShugoWah
This exact problem could keep me from playing a lot of games on it? Sad to hear. I have no greater pet peeve than wiffly d-pads. =( Far prefer those that are actual directional buttons underneath the pad than axes which attempt to simulate it. You can't go wrong with the former.
@Lunatic_Moth Yeah it's a huge shame really, but there are a lot of really nice inexpensive controllers that support the Switch that have fantastic dpads, like anything 8bitdo makes
@ShugoWah
Good to know!
@Lunatic_Moth I've alway got this one in the back of my mind, and you even get the US version with proper purple buttons and concave X and Y https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0748S3GXG?pf_rd_p=d1f45e03-8b73-4c9a-9beb-4819111bef9a&pf_rd_r=HY9XN400KXKV6Z0TW1MK&th=1
