@prolezone i tooted about this a few days ago but i think les mis could be an incredible musical to use as a base for a lot of socialist concepts i.e. working class revolution, jean valjean being a traitor (he raises cosette but it’s his fault in the first place, and he comes off benevolent but how many other children were doomed from the foreman and wage theft), and the complete amorality of business owners a les thénardiers
