On a related note, what's a good zero-maintenance #Linux distro for really old hardware, usable by younger peeps? I was thinking Lubuntu or Kubuntu - Kubuntu sounds better for usability, but I dunno how it'll run on the hardware (we're talking Core2Duo+Radeon X1600 - first wave amd64 stuff)
I wonder if the little'un could manage LXDE. Primary load is web browsing, access controls on things like Terminal access is a nice bonus.
