#Homestuck is still good even better in 2018. Reading it while it was in-progress contextualized the parts that happened bc of fan interaction, but it's better as an archival reader. Without the pauses, the story's themes more clearly flow in the second half: a super important development, given the more philosophical nature of Act 6. Character arcs make more sense when read without gaps, and the format feels more logical and deliberate.
