Main goal is speed.
For instance, they don't reassemble TCP connections: they just analyse the first IP packet of the HTTP request and the first IP packet of the HTTP response.
(So, their analysis of URL length stops at 1455 bytes.)
Second time I see the acronym ATF, which I didn't know before #RIPE76
(That's the time it takes to display the visible part of a Web page. ATF <= PLT )
