Baue gerade an einem Testsetup für #restic auf #proxmox, natürlich mit #ansible.
Ein Backup-Server und einen Remote Server als #qemu und jeweils zwei push- und pull clients mit zugehöriger Konfiguration sollen aufgebaut werden.
Das Setup mit Ansible läuft nicht durch und es kommen sehr komische Fehlermeldungen, die sich auch noch bei jedem Durchlauf ändern.
Heute stellt sich raus, dass teilweise doppelte IPs vom #dhcp vergeben werden... Keine Ahnung warum.
Morgen dann mal den #Wireshark auspacken und darauf ansetzen.

Take the time to read {again} how Stephan has built a self hosted CDN using OpenSource programming and tools.

He literally shares the code. From what I processed, this method can scale up quite easily. You can build a super large CDN yourself using similar modus operandi.

No corporate CDN, but the insight, resilience and technical expertise of a great programmer, with the Passion and Curiosity of someone visionary.

All powered by OpenSource BSD IPv6 jails DNS caching and enthusiasm

In the 90s capturing network packets was kind of a pain. Then Ethereal came along (now #Wireshark) and suddenly anyone could capture and analyze network traffic, even from Windows!

A whole generation or two of sysadmins learned the guts of what network traffic actually looked like and how it worked by running and reading Wireshark captures.

It's still out there, happily ingesting packets.
