More from the #zombie400 film with #helios44 lens. Ashworth Mill was a water-powered woollen processing mill located on the banks of Naden Brook, near Rochdale in Greater Manchester. It was active predominantly during the 19th century.

The local landowners capitalized on the steep drops of Naden Brook to power the mills. The Brook served as the direct energy lifeline for Ashworth Mill. Flowing south through the narrow valley, the current was diverted through mill races and lodges to turn a heavy waterwheel mechanism.

During this period the remote wooded valley was transformed into a thriving textile manufacturing hub but has now been reclaimed by nature.
