I'd never noticed just how similar early Tori Amos was to Kate Bush until I actually listened to a Kate Bush album ("Hounds of Love"). And, I just gotta say, yeah, Tori's first project, Y Kant Tori Read, **totally** aped Kate's style. I think the label just had no idea what to do with Tori, so they did that.
Yesterday, on Black Friday, I ventured out to one of my local indie record shops to score a release I've been waiting to see in print for at least 20 yrs of #ToriAmos fandom. Maybe I'm a 'horrible person' for partaking in Black Friday at all (which I normally don't do), but getting a release I'd been wanting for /aaages/ while supporting #RecordStoreDay & a local business, I feel pretty damn awesome. 😁
