Public education in Brookline is facing unprecedented budget cuts: at last night’s meeting the School Committee outlined the “devastating” impact that not passing the #yesforbrookline Q2 override will have on Brookline public schools, cutting $6m+ over the next few years. This is in addition to an anticipated $1.8m budget gap that will increase class sizes even if the override passes.
