In 2025 I cycled from London to Istanbul. I am quite proud of that achievement being an elderly lady. I used 365 days and I ate the elephant in pieces. Some days only to my local store or library, many days to my work, and in September I cycled a lot around my cabin in Sweden hunting mushrooms (not that I needed to hunt them much, they just stood there, ready for me).
All together I cycled 6200 kilometers.

I live and work in a city where even the police stops when we need to cross the street. Not that I have to cross many places cycling to work, only three. I cycle on the cycle road, lift my arm to show I need to cross the road, and the cars stop. Two times in 18 months have I experienced cars not stopping, and then I just jump off my bike and cross the zebra crossing very slowly ...

That said, I just love this city and the car owners, I think Stavanger has the best drivers in the whole of Norway. And I hope that we cyclists are good to them too by being preditable.
In January I’ll show you biking in Stavanger. I hope we get some snow for some excitement.
My goal is to reach Georgia in 2026.

Yea. About that max speed, 90 km/h. Can’t explain it, I sure never did that. After all, I cycle without a helmet.
