Thru CloudCore I’ve been using CloudKit in the field for years now. In an app for #WTSDA, I built profiles and sharing. As you might imagine, profiles have many child records.

Recently, I added to my profile and got a “too many references” error. I was able to optimize out of it, but CloudKit TIL: while records can grow effectively forever*, children of root records won’t.

why is that, @apple?
