Would also be nice to be able to manually start a “detected” workout. That is, I realise – after having walked for 10 minutes – that I didn’t start the workout, but I don’t want to start it now, thereby skipping the 10 minutes, and I’m not certain it will be detected before I’m back home. I want to “pick up” where I’m at now.

(I walk my dogs unleashed in the woods, but it very often doesn’t get detected.)

dear @apple, surely some of you have dogs, yes?

Please tailor a workout for dog walking !! So many of my walks don’t get recognized by my Apple Watch, likely because they are not continuous pace bipedal travel. Dogs be dogs!

(RE: the horrible notification UX for detected workouts, oy!!! DId you miss that set of buttons that just flashed on the screen and then disappeared?! oh too bad, no discernible affordance to find it again…? :-(

another successful session using #Claude Code in #Xcode to update tappr.tv, which implemented the old Notifications-based second screen support, and now implements SceneDelegates (as required going forward). It was even able to identify and leverage the general logic I first implemented to support second screens, so changes were minimal. Impressed, again <sigh/>
