These little birds, wood warblers, seem to have been singing tirelessly for a month now. I can hear their easily recognizable song every time I enter the forest. They are somewhat difficult to spot, but this individual I encountered in May was braver than usual.

Meestal heb ik moeite om kleine zingende vogeltjes te vinden en op geluid herkennen lukt maar bij enkele. Deze keer was er een vrolijke zinger die steeds goed zichtbaar ging zitten en zingen en poetsen. Vaak verplaatste hij zich net rond het moment dat ik focus had maar ik kon toch een paar mooie opnames maken.
Wellicht was ik in de buurt van een nest?

Spent some time sitting in the garden. I was just about 4m from the bird feeder and over a period of about 20 minutes, many different types of #birds came by including a pair of #goldfinches which I think I’ve seen before, three #greenfinches and I think a #willowwarbler or it could have been a #woodwarbler which happily pecked at some peanuts without being alarmed at my presence.
