Ugh, sorry my mobile data is so bad I can’t keep y’all updated with photos on all the #WeirdHouse #WoodenHouse discoveries & renovations until internet arrives Even that is proving difficult because although I can see the closest telegraph pole from my kitchen window we can’t create enough clearance over the road for the line 🙄 And neighbour understandably doesn’t want my fibre cable almost touching his roof if we use one on our side of road 😮‍💨 There will be a big vomit at some stage hopefully

A slight vommit of blog to bring us up to date (if anyone cares) 🤷‍♂️🤣

#WeirdHouse #WoodenHouse

Here you go … I bought a new eSIM that seems to provide a little more data upload capability.

Lots of progress outside as it wasn’t reliant on me.

And new ceramic discoveries inside 🤮

I’ll try catch up tomorrow morning unless my delivery of tools and stuff arrives early and can crack on with real work

@BitchinRob A fireplace with a gas flame is the main subject of the image. The flames are blue and orange, rising from a bed of dark, rounded rocks within the fireplace enclosure. The enclosure has a tiered structure, with a dark, flat platform beneath the rocks and a slightly raised platform around the back. The interior walls of the fireplace are dark, creating a high contrast with the bright flames. On the left side of the image is a metallic object with the text "HDB-906AH" vertically printed on it.

Here's an alt-text description for the image:

The image shows an indoor room with a focus on a set of windows and a radiator. The windows are horizontally aligned, consisting of two separate panes, each covered with white blinds that are partially closed. Below the windows is a long, rectangular radiator with a cabinet-like structure surrounding it. The walls are a light beige color and appear textured, and there are shelves mounted on either side of the windows. A long, slender pole leans against the wall to the right of the image, and there appears to be some debris or discarded items on the floor in the foreground.

Here's an alt-text description for the image:

The image shows a view of a tiled patio area outside a building with a large window. Three black plastic tubs are lined up along the left side of the frame, each containing broken white tiles and tile fragments. A yellow plastic container sits in the tub furthest to the left. A dark-colored table runs along the left edge of the frame, with some debris on the floor near it. The window reflects the image of a building across from it, with trees and foliage visible in the reflection.

@BitchinRob dare I ask what happened in that corner 😬

@vwdasher we are trying not to think about it 🤣🤦‍♂️
What have we done?

I wonder what future owners will think of us putting waxed knotty pine T&G everywhere? (At least that is the plan at the moment)

@vwdasher @BitchinRob a friend inherited a flat with a stain on the floor where the last owner had expired

@humanhorseshoes @vwdasher

Oh fuck nooo … beds and bedding were fist out the door. To be fair by the time we finish pealing back the layers it will only be floors a ceiling as was Save shower room that’s wipe clean right? 😬😂

@BitchinRob @vwdasher parquet floor in a bedroom
@humanhorseshoes @vwdasher on no, apart from that situation that would be my preferred flooring anywhere 😂🤢
@humanhorseshoes @vwdasher nothing much has dripped through the solid wood (oak or beach I’d guess) floor to the concrete slab in all the
places I can see underneath the floor 🤞
@BitchinRob That gas fire looks huge! Ideal centre piece for a horror story as well 🙂
@serichards 9 kWh input according to its data plate 😜
All the 🔥 … straight up the flue into the wild 🤪
Though, to be fair, it’s probably more efficient than most gas flame fires as the huge steel flue warms and radiates heat beautifully

@BitchinRob A room with pale green walls and a brown wood ceiling is shown. A white door is on the left side of the frame, with a second white door on the right. The walls show signs of wear with discoloration and peeling paint. The floor is covered with brown wood planks. A broom and a rake are leaning against the right wall, and there is a shelf with objects on the left wall, partially visible.

The image shows the open trunk of a dark blue vehicle, filled with several black plastic buckets. Four black buckets are arranged in a row, occupying most of the trunk space, with a red cloth laid underneath them. A bright orange bucket and a bright green bucket are visible at the edges of the frame, placed on top of or beside the black buckets. A pair of bright green gloves lies on the red cloth near the front of the trunk. The interior of the vehicle, including the back seats, is also visible, with a dark gray color scheme.

A wide shot depicts the rear of a single-story building with a patio extending across its length. The building is constructed of white siding with a red-tiled roof on the left side and a dark green gable roof extending over a doorway on the right. Multiple windows, dark and reflective, line the building's exterior. The patio is paved with large, square, grey stone tiles, and is overgrown with patches of grass and weeds. A dark green hedge runs along the far right side of the image, and trees are visible in the background.

The image shows the interior of a small, rectangular room. The walls are primarily white, with a section of unfinished wood paneling visible on one wall. A window is located on the left side of the image, revealing a glimpse of the outdoors with a blurry view of buildings and vegetation. The floor is covered in dark wood-look laminate flooring. The ceiling is made of light-colored wood planks running horizontally, creating a textured appearance.

@BitchinRob I promise you won't be bored in the near future. Good luck!
@chromblitzen I have infinity number of jobs to do forever 👍🤣
@BitchinRob Boots offer private Covid jabs. £100 a pop or so. Worth considering if asthma isn't enough now. It's ridiculous how much the vaccination programme is being reduced.
@serichards cheers, I knew there was something I’d forgotten to lookup this evening 👍🤣 too busy rock out to toons in my new arena size living room 🙄
@serichards @BitchinRob hundred POUND? POUND? Jesus christ.
