Smaugust 2023 #03: Vouivre

I took the Vouivre sketch I did for August 8th's Daily Sketch Challenge, and added colour, more detail, and a background. For those that missed it, a vouivre's sort of a two-legged dragon (the word's cognate with our wyvern), traditionally female, with a gemstone in place of eyes.

Daily Sketch Challenge 08/08/23: Vouivre.
I thought vouivre (or wivre, guivre, etc) was just French for wyvern, but apparently it's a bit more complicated than that. The word is a cognate of our 'wyvern', but with that linguistic divergence, there's also a bit of a divergence of legend. The vouivre also has a gemstone set into its head in place of eyes, which somehow aids its flight.
