Universal Studios, I am in you. #WinterRoadTrip

Hit up the San Diego Wild Animal Park today. Was a blast, had a great time and great company.

Also, Pasadena, I am in you. (And not for #scale23x, that’s not for a few months yet.). #WinterRoadTrip

Carlsbad, I am in you. (Also, Laguna Beach, I was in you, but was too busy visiting and eating to post.) #WinterRoadTrip

Hey #VancouverIsland - #Comox #Courtenay #CampbellRiver - I'll be up your way 2nd week of January for almost the whole week. I'll be doing some adaptive snow sports on Mt. Washington for 2-3 days, depending on how my body feels. The rest of the time, me & my sister-friend will be leisurely exploring & enjoying some Winter nature.
Let me know via DM if you want to meet up with us while we are visiting some up island areas 😊

I'm browsing possible accommodation spots today.

Here is a list of winter survival gear for travel in extreme cold. This list should be adjusted for your area or where you are travelling, you can pick from it what works for you. Assuming your car will work properly and always be warm, is the worst thing you can do. Accidents, break downs, road closures all can be lethal if you are not prepared. Remember, a car will get very cold very fast when not running. If you are idling for heat, remember to check exhaust for snow or ice build up. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer.

Winter survival car trip list:

Minimum of 3/4 of a tank of gas to start.
Taking a thermos of hot water with you when you leave. (fill with boiling water before you leave)
Get a small, safe source of heat (like a Mr. Heater buddy)

A backup charger for your phone and devices.
Insulated bags to keep your devices in so they won’t freeze.
Flares.
Mylar blanket.
At least one heavy wool blanket.
