@ben It’s “the marbling in the steak” as Van Jones put it on Election Night 2016, referring to #WhiteLash

@OGjester @staidwinnow
To borrow from sports vernacular, I think this was a designed play from the reactionaries playbook starting decades ago.

The accusation of Obama’s parents conspiring in the 60’s was a confession.

The #whitelash has been conspiracing since the Great Society ideas gave them a sense of how this would play out.

They played the long game.

They don’t like, trust, or believe in a representative republic.

We the People are their enemies.

I think that was by design. The “#whitelash” started in California, led by Reagan at the state level, achieving one plateau in 1980, and then another in 2016.

The dumbing down and segregation was the plan since the 1970’s.

Carter was The Last Good One.

What, to #whitepeople is the 19th of June?

What is a “#race #holiday”? Why would someone be #upset by a #dayoff? Who gets #mad at a #day of #celebration? What manner of #killjoy is this? The admittedly small #whitelash against #Juneteenth is not just another version of #antiBlackness.

#Whitesupremacy is #Americas unholiest ghost.

What, to white people, is the 19th of June?

OPINION: For uncolored folk who consider Juneteenth "divisive" when white holidays are enuf.
