The electricity when out last night at about 8 P.M. and I forgot about it until this morning when I heard the generator still running as I let the dogs out ... in case you were wondering who. It is also raining cats and dogs; I know because I opened the door a few minutes ago and a couple of dogs ran inside. The trouble with letting dogs in out of the rain, is that once they get inside the door, they do that shaky thing where the skin on their bodies actually moves tossing loose water everywhere. The trouble with not letting them out is that they can only hold it for so long and then they are going to go.

Complaining to my daughter about stupid dogs running out into the rain to bark at a duck or a white van (because white vans bring deliveries and they’re all evil, apparently), but said dogs won’t go for a walk because it’s raining. Her comment: Well, neither of them were going to win the Nobel Prize.
