@aquarium Unfortunately, this is the current status: DIATOM HELL 1000 😂 I did clean it after taking this shot, but it did not help much. The plants are growing really well, though!

Jar update: still alive! Mostly, every damn bit of the limnophila sessiliflora melted for some reason. No idea, it's supposed to be the *easy* plant. There's also a ton of algae. But! I measured zero NO2 in Eldest Jar today! It's workiiiiing! #aquarium #walstad #plantedTank

This is a #Walstad style tank. Getting the plants happy was super easy. So far I've got Java Moss for shrimplets to hide in, Pogostemon, Red Root Floaters, Duckweed and some Dwarf Sagitarius that's doing well - there are new shoots.
I want to add something to carpet the substrate a bit better. Thinking about Dwarf Baby Tears or Elocarus Parula, but open to suggestions. It's just a 5 gallon tank so I don't want anything that will get too big.
